Job summary

Yorkshire Air Ambulance in the Wakefield region seeks a Line Pilot to command an Airbus H145 D3, employed under its own AOC. The role is based at Nostell ASU, near Wakefield, with occasional shifts at RAF Topcliffe.

Salary starts at £83,769 per annum. Candidates should hold UK CAA ATPL(H) or CPL(H) with IR, substantial PIC hours, and be willing to relocate to Yorkshire. A fixed roster applies, with evolving shift patterns from April 2027.

Responsibilities

• As aircraft commander, ensure flying tasks are safe and compliant with the Operations Manual and regulations.
• Manage and organise the Operating Base; brief crews on HEMS responsibilities and uphold high standards.
• Maintain currency: CPL/ATPL, LPC/OPC, Line Check, ESE, and required medicals.
• Participate in fundraising activities and be available for marketing photos/videos as needed.
• Perform other duties within normal duty hours and roster constraints.
