About the Role
We are recruiting on behalf of a prestigious, high-performing hedge fund seeking a sharp, driven Operations Analyst with strong exposure to the trade lifecycle. Key Responsibilities
- Oversee and support the end-to-end trade lifecycle, ensuring accurate trade capture, confirmation, settlement, and reconciliation.
- Identify process bottlenecks and drive automation and optimisation across operational workflows.
- Collaborate closely with traders, portfolio managers, technology teams, and external counterparties.
- Develop tools, dashboards, and scripts to improve data integrity and operational transparency.
- Troubleshoot and resolve trade breaks, settlement issues, and data discrepancies.
- Support new product launches, system enhancements, and strategic projects.
Requirements
- 2–5 years of experience in an Operations, Middle Office, or Trade Support role within a hedge fund, asset manager, or investment bank.
- Strong understanding of the trade lifecycle across multiple asset classes (equities, fixed income, derivatives, FX, etc.).
- Degree educated from a recognised university.
- Strong programming/scripting skills (Python, SQL, VBA, or similar).
- Demonstrated experience in automation, process improvement, or building workflow efficiencies.
- Highly analytical, detail-oriented, and proactive with excellent problem-solving capabilities.
- Confident communicator able to partner effectively across teams in a fast-paced environment.
