Job summary

Eddie Stobart is offering a 3-year Heavy Vehicle Technician Apprenticeship Programme in the UK, designed to train you to service, repair, and diagnose heavy goods vehicles, including electric fleets. You’ll be hands-on from day one in a modern workshop, with training at GTG Training Academy and ongoing mentorship from experienced technicians.

The programme covers motor vehicle maintenance, MOT preparation, and exposure to the latest vehicle technologies, with full-time employment from day one

Qualifications

• Interest in vehicles and mechanics.
• Willingness to learn and adapt in a hands-on apprenticeship.
• Strong work ethic and reliability in a workshop environment.

Responsibilities

• Service and maintain heavy vehicles in a professional workshop.
• Prepare vehicles for MOT inspections and road readiness.
• Diagnose faults across mechanical, electrical, and electronic systems.
• Work on engines, transmissions, braking systems, and EV technology.
• Support workshop operations while maintaining high safety standards.
