Job summary

A leading express transportation company is seeking a Heavy Goods Vehicle Maintenance Technician in Bradford to maintain vehicle safety and reliability. In this role, you will perform maintenance and repairs of the fleet, ensuring compliance with planned schedules. The ideal candidate will possess relevant licenses and vocational training, along with previous experience in vehicle maintenance. Qualifications

  • Perform service and maintenance of the company fleet in line with planned maintenance schedules.
  • Complete signed service and inspection records.
  • Prepare vehicles for annual MOT testing to ensure first time pass.
  • Perform ad-hoc vehicle repairs, rectifying vehicle defects.
  • Ensure safe use of all tools and equipment.
  • Maintain housekeeping standards as required.

Skills

Fully skilled with applicable Licenses / Vocational Training
Knowledge of automotive equipment and troubleshooting
Ability to lift and manoeuvre Heavy Vehicle Components
Experience with welding
Basic D.C. electrical troubleshooting skills
Valid driving license
Previous experience in a similar role

Education

City & Guilds parts 1 & 2 or equivalent in commercial vehicle repairs
LGV C&E licence (class one)
