Job summary

Acorn by Synergie is seeking an experienced Heavy Plant Fitter / Plant Mechanic to join the maintenance team in Haverfordwest. You will service and repair a wide range of mobile and fixed plant equipment to keep operations safe and efficient, with a 47.5-hour workweek and overtime opportunities.

The role requires completion of an indentured Plant and Vehicle Maintenance apprenticeship or equivalent experience, a full UK driving licence, and a flexible attitude to occasional Saturday work.

Qualifications

• Indentured Plant and Vehicle Maintenance apprenticeship or equivalent experience.
• Experience maintaining and repairing heavy mobile and fixed plant.
• Good understanding of health and safety and environmental procedures.

Responsibilities

• Repair and maintain mobile plant including articulated dump trucks, wheeled loading shovels, 360 excavators, ride-on rollers, mini diggers, pavers and other fleet equipment.
• Carry out planned maintenance and repairs on fixed plant, including asphalt, concrete and crushing equipment.
• Diagnose faults and carry out repairs efficiently to minimise downtime.
• Complete daily inspections of workshops and maintenance vehicles.
• Maintain high standards of housekeeping across workshop and maintenance areas.
• Follow all relevant health and safety and environmental procedures.
