Heavy Plant Mechanic / Mobile Plant Fitter - Mobile Role - Hertfordshire - Up to £55,000 DOE

I'm recruiting on behalf of a leading civil engineering company for an experienced Heavy Plant Mechanic / Plant Fitter to join their mobile team across Hertfordshire. This is a hands-on, highly rewarded role working on a wide range of heavy plant machinery.

• Mobile role with a company van provided for work use – no depot waiting around
• Mon-Fri, 45 hours with paid overtime at time and a half for anything over 8 hours
• Occasional weekends and overnight stays, fully compensated
• Competitive salary up to £55,000 DOE

You must have

• Proven experience as a Plant Fitter / Heavy Plant Mechanic
• Experience working on heavy plant machinery including: Digger / Excavator; Dumpers / Dump Trucks; Cranes & Piling Rigs; Loaders & Rollers; Other civil engineering plant equipment
• NVQ or equivalent in plant mechanics or a related discipline
• Full driving license (for van use)

What you'll do

• Service, maintain, and repair heavy plant machinery on-site (cranes & piling rigs)
• Troubleshoot mechanical faults across a range of equipment
• Ensure all machinery is safe, operational, and compliant
