Job summary

A recruitment agency in Doncaster is hiring a Heavy Plant Fitter for a permanent role. You will maintain, service, and repair Heavy Plant Equipment, ensuring compliance with company documentation. Qualifications

  • Professionally recognised qualification or at least 2 years' experience in Plant Maintenance & Repair.
  • Knowledge in finding faults on electrical and hydraulic/pneumatic systems.
  • Ability to weld using MIG welding equipment.
  • Full UK Driving Licence required.

Job description
Heavy Plant Fitter

Permanent role based in the Doncaster area of South Yorkshire.

Responsibilities
  • Maintain, service, diagnose and repair Heavy Plant Equipment, such as Wirtgen, JCBs etc.
  • Ensure completion of company documentation relating to heavy plant
  • Fault finding, inspections and repairs on small plant will also be required, i.e. multi-drill, angle grinders etc.
  • Occasionally travel to sites to complete repairs – you will receive additional pay for this
  • Use and operate workshop facilities and equipment in accordance with company and legislative requirements
  • Make decisions and problem solve

Normal working hours are 8am-4.30pm, Monday to Friday.

Ad hoc overtime available, paid at enhanced overtime rates.

Pay: £17.50 per hour, PAYE.

Qualifications
