A leading renewable energy firm in Edinburgh is seeking a Heat Pump Service Engineer to join their Operations and Maintenance team. The ideal candidate will have good domestic heat pump knowledge and will be provided training for commercial scale systems. This role offers £40,000 - £45,000 salary, company vehicle, travel pay, and various benefits such as healthcare, 25 days of holiday, and progression opportunities. The company also operates a call out rota with additional pay.
We are working with a successful and established Renewable Energy company who are looking for a Heat Pump Engineer for Service & Maintenance works in the Edinburgh area. This role would be part of their Operations and Maintenance team looking after domestic and commercial scale heat pumps, as well as associated plumbing work.
The company specialise within installing Heat Pump Networks as well as individual GSHP & ASHP to commercial and large domestic properties such as Manor Houses, Retirement Homes and Care Homes. You will be part of the O&M side looking after 3 x large Developments which have a central plant room with a commercial ASHP. A couple of them are housing developments where each house has its own Heat Pump linked to a heat network. Your role will be servicing, maintaining fault finding and repairing the Heat Pump and Plant Room Systems (they can train you up on the bigger units). If you haven't worked on Commercial Heat Pumps yet, they can give you full training, all they are looking for is an Engineer with good domestic heat pump knowledge who is keen to learn.
You will also work on the associated systems in the plant room such as pumps, strainers, electrical controls and more. They will also get you additional qualifications such as F-Gas if you don't have it already!
The company does operate an out of hours call out rota however they have full remote monitoring of the systems. Usually, they can log in remotely, identify the fault and book in the repair for the following day so there shouldn't be too much need to be called out unless it is an absolute emergency. They pay £150 retainer for the call out rota as well as overtime rates if called out.
