Job summary

Kingston Upon Thames is seeking an Heat Pump Applications Engineer to drive high-temperature heat pump projects in the UK and internationally. You will act as a subject matter expert, assessing technical and commercial aspects, and lead the specification, modelling and design of advanced heat pump systems.

You will collaborate with industrial partners and customers to capture requirements, translate them into precise specifications, and support commissioning and deployment at sites.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Process, Chemical Engineering or related field.
• 5+ years of engineering experience in heat pumps, refrigeration, HVAC or industrial processes.
• Strong systems engineering, modelling and analytical capability.
• Experience working with customers or industrial partners.
• Excellent communication and technical report-writing skills.
• Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel regularly, including internationally.

Responsibilities

• Act as SME for industrial high-temperature heat pump applications.
• Assess industrial applications from technical and commercial perspectives.
• Lead specification, analysis, modelling and systems design of heat pump solutions.
• Work with industrial partners and customers to define requirements and develop solutions.
• Translate requirements into clear specifications and control requirements for the engineering team.
• Apply knowledge of industrial processes, refrigeration, HVAC, heat pumps and process engineering.
• Support commissioning, testing and deployment of new products at industrial sites.
• Produce engineering documentation, technical reports and presentations.
• Consider regulatory, safety and compliance requirements.
• Collaborate across the engineering team as technology matures.
