My client are a well-established Social Housing Contractor, who have an excellent reputation and strong pipeline of work. Due to an increase in growth, they are currently recruiting for a Heat Pump and Gas Engineer to join them on a permanent basis to work planned maintenance schemes to tenanted Social Housing properties in Liverpool, which consist of energy efficiency upgrades and decarbonisation work.

As a Heat Pump and Gas Engineer you will :

Responsibilities
  • Install, commission, and maintain air‑source and ground‑source heat pumps in domestic properties.
  • Carry out gas boiler installations, servicing, and repairs in line with Gas Safe regulations.
  • Deliver routine maintenance and safety checks for heating and hot water systems.
  • Complete Landlord Gas Safety Records (LGSR) and ensure full compliance with all relevant standards.
  • Diagnose and repair faults on heating systems quickly and effectively.
  • Support energy efficiency and retrofit projects, helping reduce carbon emissions across housing stock.
  • Work on hybrid systems combining gas and heat pump technology.
  • Provide clear communication and excellent service to residents, ensuring minimal disruption.
  • Offer guidance on efficient system use and energy‑saving measures.
  • Maintain accurate records and digital job reports for compliance and asset management systems.
Requirements
  • Minimum of 5 years qualified.
  • Able to work independently and manage time efficiently
  • Able to liaise with office and management throughout schedule
  • Must hold a valid UK driving licence
  • Experience working on decarbonisation projects
  • Salary is competitive dependent on your skills and experience
