Job summary

Places Leisure is seeking a qualified fitness/instructional lead to set up and manage Healthy Communities projects focused on reducing health inequalities within the local area. The role involves delivering programmes such as Exercise Referral and gym-based sessions, while ensuring rigorous monitoring and evaluation in line with data protection policies.

The successful candidate will plan, deliver, and monitor sessions, bringing a passion for improving health and wellbeing in the community.

Qualifications

• Qualified instructor in relevant discipline to deliver sessions independently (Gym level 3, NGB level 2 or higher).
• Ability to plan, deliver and monitor sessions.
• Passion for improving community health.

Responsibilities

• Set up and manage a range of sustainable Healthy Communities projects that deliver measurable impact for the local community.
• Complete monitoring and evaluation as requested by line manager in line with data protection protocols.
• Deliver specific Healthy Community programmes (e.g., Exercise Referral, gym classes, falls prevention) as discussed with line manager.

• Set up and manage a range of sustainable Healthy Communities projects/programmes that deliver measurable impact for the community for a local contract area. With a focus on tackling health inequalities.
• Complete any monitoring and evaluation requested by line manager in line with current data protection protocols
• In line with relevant training / qualifications held, deliver specific Healthy community project/ programme, e.g. Exercise Referral, gym-based classes, falls prevention, according to the parameter discussed with line manager.
  Qualified instructor in relevant in relevant discipline to deliver sessions independently i.e. Gym level 3, NGB level 2 or higher.
• Experienced in planning, delivering and monitoring sessions.
• Passion for improving the health of the local community.
• Ability to use MS tools.
