Contract: Permanent
Salary: £28,000 – £30,000 (depending on experience)

Main duties of the job
  • Deliver lifestyle behaviour change interventions to residents.
  • Lead targeted engagement and outreach activities to reduce health inequalities among Slough’s priority groups.
  • Actively participate in promotional events throughout Slough.

The successful candidate must have a clean driving licence and be prepared to travel around Slough.

Essential
  • Knowledge of a specialist field acquired through relevant or further education background.
  • Evidence of continual professional development.

  • Knowledge of the problems experienced by socially disadvantaged sectors of the community.
  • An understanding of the impact of CVD.
  • Working knowledge of the issues related to information governance.
  • Working knowledge regarding safeguarding processes and policies.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Excellent time management and organisation skills.
  • The ability to work independently or as part of a team.
  • The commitment to provide an efficient and effective service.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft software.
  • Knowledge of reporting to commissioners and stakeholders.
  • Experience of working in an environment that promotes behaviour change in particular with regards to prevention of CVD.
  • Working with clients with complex issues.
  • Experience of working with clients from a variety of social and cultural backgrounds.
