Job summary

A leading healthcare provider in Bournemouth is seeking a Healthcare Support Worker. In this permanent role, you'll assist patients with basic care needs and contribute to their overall support. Applicants must possess a care certificate and be willing to work flexibly during weekdays. Phlebotomy skills are required. Overview

Are you passionate about caring for others? Join us in a rewarding role as a Healthcare Support Worker.

We can offer fully supported training for the role as well as support and guidance toward career progression.

We are open 5 days a week - Monday to Friday; therefore, we require everyone to be fully flexible across the week.

These are permanent positions within the cancer care directorate.

This role requires a care certificate.

Please note we are unable to offer sponsorship for this position.

Base Location: Royal Bournemouth Hospital

Responsibilities
  • Staff who provide basic care and support to patients in various settings
  • Responsible for tasks such as mobility, observations, and medication
  • Involved in keeping the environment and equipment clean and safe
  • Part of the wider healthcare team that includes nurses, doctors, and other professionals
  • Taking patients observations such as blood pressure, temperature, oxygen saturations height, weight and pulse
  • Helping patients book blood tests and appointments
  • Phlebotomy is required
  • Basic IT skills
