Job description
Overview

NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde is one of the largest healthcare systems in the UK employing around 40,000 staff in a wide range of clinical and non-clinical professions and job roles. We deliver acute hospital, primary, community and mental health care services to a population of over 1.15 million and a wider population of 2.2 million when our regional and national services are included.

The shift pattern for this post is 11.55-hour shifts. Please note the salary is Pro Rata for part time hours.

Responsibilities
  • Demonstrating care and compassion to patient, carers and relatives to help ensure high quality patient care is delivered at all times.
  • Providing support to Registered nurses.
  • Co-operate with and maintain good relation relationships and an empathic approach to the patients, relatives and carers.
  • Report observed changes in the patients physical and psychological needs.
  • Maintain patient confidentiality and follow information governance policies and procedures.
  • Maintain accurate and up to date records e.g. fluid intake and active care charts.
  • Share responsibility for key aspects of housekeeping and stock control.
