Role Overview

Health Care Assistant position at Stanley Purser Ward, Swanage Community Hospital.

Shift Pattern

• Rotational long days (07:30–20:30) and nights (20:00–08:00)
• Weekend and public holiday work at enhanced pay

Key Responsibilities

• Assist registered nursing staff in providing high‑quality individualized nursing care to a clearly defined group of patients, relatives and carers.
• Assist the multi‑disciplinary team to aid patients in gaining independence and mobility in preparation for a safe discharge.
• Participate in providing a range of therapeutic activities for patients.

Qualifications and Experience

• Experience in healthcare or a structured development plan from band 2 to band 3 Health Care Assistant on successful completion.
• Structured induction programme and opportunities for clinical and professional development.
• Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check required; Trust covers cost.
