We are recruiting for a small team of support workers to work with our client, a remarkable teenage boy living at home with his family. He sustained a brain injury at birth and requires ongoing support after school, in the evenings, and full days during weekends to help him engage in activities, interests, and daily plans.
He enjoys activities such as YouTube, computer games, drama, theatre, swimming, Marvel & DC comics, travel, and loves animals. He can become overwhelmed with choices related to daily tasks, so we need proactive, patient healthcare support workers to support him.
The team will assist with activities, education/homework, daily living, social activities, and health support. The role requires someone proactive, patient, humorous, organized, risk-aware, flexible, and willing to travel or go on excursions with the family.
Support workers will act as a "buddy" and collaborate with healthcare professionals to support therapy programs under supervision.
We seek support workers who can provide person-centred support aligned with a personalized care plan tailored to our client's needs. This is a great opportunity to work with an amazing young man.
You will be supported by our skilled Nurse Managers, ensuring high standards of care and professional development.
Applicants must hold a full, valid UK driving license due to the role's requirements.
