The role involves assisting in the care of surgical patients and supporting the theatre team in delivering high-quality care. An exciting opportunity has arisen for keen and reliable individuals to join our teams within the Main Theatres Department.
The department utilises 25 Theatres which include Emergency, Obstetric, Vascular, Paediatric and ENT as well as Plastic and 2 Ambulatory Procedure Rooms. A number of theatres are used for multi‑specialty procedures including General, Thoracic and Gynaecology.
The Theatre Complex is committed to delivering outstanding care to our patients throughout their peri‑operative journey. Individuals need a good level of organisational skill and the ability to be dynamic with the ever‑changing workload.
We are looking for individuals who promote the Trust PRIDE values and demonstrate a caring and compassionate approach to patient care. HCA experience is desirable but not essential. As a department we value all of our team members and are committed to the promotion and development of all our staff.
You will be expected to attend and complete a Trust induction program.
Moving patients between the same Day Admissions Unit, wards, Theatres and Recovery departments
Assisting in the care of the surgical patient during the peri‑operative period by supporting the multidisciplinary team.
