Job Title: Healthcare Support Worker

Job Purpose
To provide high-quality, person-centered care and support to individuals in line with their care plans, promoting dignity, independence, and wellbeing. The Healthcare Assistant plays a vital role in delivering compassionate care that enhances the lives of service users across a range of health and social care settings.
Key Responsibilities
- Personal Care: Assist with bathing, dressing, toileting, grooming, and continence care in a respectful and dignified manner.
- Nutrition & Hydration: Support with meal preparation, feeding, and fluid intake, ensuring dietary needs are met.
- Mobility Support: Aid with safe moving and handling, including use of hoists and mobility aids, following risk assessments and training.
- Medication Support: Prompt or assist with medication in accordance with care plans and company policy (if trained and delegated).
- Companionship: Provide emotional support, engage in meaningful conversation, and encourage participation in activities.
- Monitoring & Reporting: Observe and report changes in physical or mental health to senior staff. Maintain accurate records and documentation.
- Safeguarding & Compliance: Uphold safeguarding principles, confidentiality, and infection prevention protocols. Adhere to CQC standards and company policies.
- Teamwork: Collaborate with colleagues, families, and external professionals to ensure holistic care delivery.

Qualifications & Experience
- Essential: Right to work in the UK, Good level of spoken and written English, Willingness to undertake training (e.g., Care Certificate)
- Desirable: Previous experience in a care setting, NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Health and Social Care (or working towards), Medication administration training
