A leading healthcare provider in Dundee is seeking a Band 3 Healthcare Support Worker for their Paediatric Homecare team. The ideal candidate will have experience working with children or in a home care environment and possess core skills like vital signs monitoring and respiratory support. This role involves delivering person-centred care in various settings with a commitment to high quality. You will work 30 hours a week, including days, nights, and weekends. Training will be provided, and you will be part of a dynamic healthcare team.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for Band 3 Healthcare Support Worker to join our dynamic team in Paediatric Homecare. If you have experience working in a Child/ Young person setting, with evidence of training and proficiency in core skills then we would like to hear from you! However, candidates with experience in a health/ home care setting who can demonstrate an attitude for learning and acquiring new skills will also be considered. The role is varied and will include the use of core skills such as vital signs monitoring, Respiratory support – Ventilation, airway maintenance/ clearance – tracheostomy /suctioning care, Enteral feeding, postural support. Above all you will need to have the ability to work as part of a team with the ability to function and deliver care in a variety of settings. An absolute necessity is the desire to be involved in delivering high‑quality person‑centred care. You should possess excellent written and verbal skills as well as demonstrating good people skills. Training will be given with an expectation that core competencies will be completed within agreed time scales. You should be interested in developing further within this role. The primary base is within the Paediatric Department at Tayside Children’s Hospital in Ninewells Hospital Dundee, but you may be required to rotate service areas Department depending on the needs of the service. Your performance must comply with the national “Mandatory Induction Standards for Healthcare Support Workers 2009” and with the Code of Conduct for Healthcare Support Workers.
