Job summary

OPEN Health is seeking a Statistical Analyst to contribute to a range of healthcare statistics projects with ownership of deliverables and timelines. The role focuses on statistics applied to healthcare, requiring practical experience in modelling and a strong R skillset.

Ideal candidates will have hands-on experience in survival analyses, PROs, and health economic modelling, with the ability to communicate complex methods clearly to colleagues and clients in a dynamic, international setting.

Qualifications

  • Master's degree or PhD in a statistical or mathematical subject.
  • Proven programming skills in R.
  • Knowledge of health economic modelling would be an advantage.
  • Intellectual curiosity and independence, to include the ability to self‑start and self‑teach.
  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) and ability to question the status quo.
  • Ability to clearly communicate complex statistical methods to other team members and external stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Undertaking statistical and health economic research tasks with guidance from senior consultants.
  • Carry out analyses including survival analysis, PROs (utility analysis).
  • Fit bespoke statistical models onto trial data for extrapolation and economic parameters.
  • Engage in evidence synthesis projects: meta-analysis, Bayesian network meta-analysis, indirect comparisons.
  • Identify and develop statistical methodologies in partnership with project teams.
  • Develop statistical code for standard analyses and internal dissemination.
  • Draft project reports and other deliverables.
  • Adhere to project budgets and timelines; support client interactions and proposals.
