Achuman Capital is representing a top-tier international law firm in Birmingham seeking an Associate to or Senior Associate to join their Healthcare team. The role involves advising NHS Trusts, healthcare providers, surgeons and insurers on complex healthcare matters.

The successful candidate will handle Court of Protection proceedings, serious medical treatment applications, mental capacity and deprivation of liberty issues, and will work with healthcare professionals on high-profile cases

Qualifications

• 2+ years' PQE.
• Strong academics.
• Technically excellent in healthcare matters.
• Willingness to develop business and client relationships.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Advise NHS Trusts, healthcare providers, medical practitioners and insurers on complex healthcare matters.
• Represent healthcare clients at Court of Protection proceedings, inquests and Judicial Review proceedings, and advise on urgent treatment, capacity and consent issues.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals on high-profile and legally complex cases.

The Role:

The successful candidate will join a highly regarded Healthcare and Medical Law team, advising NHS Trusts, healthcare providers, medical practitioners and insurers on complex and sensitive healthcare matters.

The role will involve advising on Court of Protection proceedings, serious medical treatment applications, mental capacity and mental health law, safeguarding and deprivation of liberty matters. The successful candidate will also represent healthcare clients at inquests and in Judicial Review proceedings, advise on urgent treatment, capacity and consent issues, and work closely with healthcare professionals on high-profile and legally complex cases.
