Responsibilities

• Enter information into databases and spreadsheets; ensure issues are followed up by scientific staff.
• Booking visits to clients.
• Booking rooms and arranging meetings with QC and client groups.
• Develop spreadsheets and databases as required by scientific staff.
• Monitor QC spreadsheets and ensure issues are followed up by scientific staff.
• Assist radiology physicists with administrative tasks.
• Assist in reviewing and writing departmental protocols; update to current best practice/legislation.
• Create and maintain records of equipment QC testing and audits.
• Prepare documentation and equipment for work outside the department.
• Organize training meetings for external clients.

Job description

University Hospitals Dorset are looking for a Healthcare Science Practitioner to assist in the provision of diagnostic radiology physics and radiation protection services throughout East Dorset, covering a range of medical imaging modalities
You will assist in the physics support to various imaging services across the hospital sites and the region.
Base Location: Poole Hospital - Radiology Physics

• Entering information relating to the work of the group into databases and spreadsheets and ensuring all issues are followed up by scientific staff.

• Day to day monitoring of the QC spreadsheets used by clients, ensuring all issues are followed up by scientific staff.
• Assisting the radiology physicists with administrative work as required.
• Assisting in reviewing and writing departmental protocols and procedures, updating them to correspond with current best practice and / or legislation.
• Creating and maintaining records of equipment QC testing and audits.
• Preparation of documentation and equipment for work outside the department.
• Organisation of training meetings for external clients.
