Job summary

Maximus in the UK is seeking a Nurse Functional Assessor to join our health and employment services team. You will apply clinical expertise to assess how a health condition affects daily living and support case managers handling PIP referrals in a hybrid role based in Newcastle.

The role requires NMC registration, at least 1 year post‑registration experience, and strong report writing. We offer flexible working options, a competitive salary (£39,500), and generous leave plus CPD support.

• Support customers in progressing their lives through tailored guidance and support.

Requirements

• Valid NMC registration number.
• At least 1 year of broad post‑registration adult or mental health experience gained within or outside of the NHS.
• Right to work in the UK – no sponsorships available.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Comfortable using computer software to type and produce detailed reports.
