Job description

Healthcare assistants to join our Nursing home with 160 rooms, the Care Centre is located in Southall, London and available for a wide variety of people, offering support for a variety of disorders, disabilities and behaviours,

Responsibilities
  • Ensure the highest possible levels of care are maintained by supporting and assisting Residents when required with all aspects of daily living
  • Assist Residents in all aspects of their care needs, e.g. physical, emotional and spiritual
  • Provide supervision and attention when needed, ensuring Residents retain their comfort and dignity
  • Observe care planning needs for Residents and completed daily records as instructed
  • Assist in framework of social activities by interacting with Residents and helping them continue with hobbies and activities in the Care Centre
  • Answer Nurse Call system, giving assistance as required
  • Answer the door and telephone appropriately
  • Respond accordingly, and pass on messages promptly
  • Report on well-being of Residents
  • Clean and maintain equipment used by Residents and Relatives e.g. wheelchairs, hearing aids, spectacles etc
Qualifications
  • We recruit candidates based locally, able to work full-time (40 hours per week) with at least 6 months UK based experience in a similar position.
  • Ability to communicate effectively at all levels

  • Ability to work on own initiative
  • Live in London area and able to commute
  • Previous experience of working with the relevant Service User group in Nursing Home.
