Job description

Role Overview

Band 2 health care assistant role on Ward 9, a 23‑bed elderly care ward on the Broadgreen site. Band 2s will not be eligible for sponsorship as these roles will not meet the required skill level (RQF 3 or A level and above), despite having their salary increased from £22,383 to £23,615.

Responsibilities

• Assist the ward / department team under the supervision of a Registered Nurse to provide the highest possible standard of basic care for patients and their families/carer.
• Support day and night rotational duties, ensuring patient comfort, hygiene, feeding, mobilisation, medication administration, and assistance with clinical procedures.
• Work within a multidisciplinary team to deliver high‑quality patient care.

Qualifications

• Band 2 level with RQF 3 or A level and above.
• Previous experience in health care desirable but not essential.
• Full‑time post with rotational days and nights.
