Job summary

Nuffield Health Glasgow Hospital is seeking a Healthcare Assistant in theatre to support patients undergoing surgeries. This permanent, part-time role (24 hours per week) offers an empathetic, patient-focused environment with opportunities to grow within a leading private hospital in Glasgow.

You will hold an NVQ/SVQ Level 2 in Health & Social Care and have relevant theatre experience. The role includes theatre prep, patient support, and family reassurance, with a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Experience in a Theatre setting preferred.
• Excellent communication and empathy demonstrated.

Responsibilities

• Create a positive experience for patients undergoing surgery.
• Assist with moving patients and theatre preparation.
• Provide family reassurance and complete administration tasks as needed.
• Support the theatre team in a fast-paced environment.
• Work flexibly to cover shifts, including evenings and weekends.

£25,545 pro rata, per annum depending on experience

24 hours per week (full-time hours can be considered)

You’ll show real empathy and find the challenges of theatre work fascinating.As well as great communication skills, you’ll bring a flexible approach to both your duties and hours.

You will be qualified with an NVQ/SVQ Level 2 in Health & Social Care, and have relevant experience within a Theatre setting.

As a Healthcare Assistant in theatre, you will:

• Create a great experience for patients undergoing major and minor surgeries
• Have the time you need to care for patients as people
• Understand people’s individual needs
• Play a key role in a fast-paced environment, supporting the theatre team where you will assist with moving patients, theatre preparation, family reassurance, administration tasks
• Work flexibly to support our team
