An exciting opportunity has arisen for a dynamic Health Care Assistant to support us in delivering rehabilitation and care at Crowborough Intermediate Care Unit. We are looking for someone who can work flexibly to cover long days, some short days and nights.
You will work as a member of the team ensuring the effective and safe delivery of care to patients whilst under the guidance, instruction and supervision of our team of nurses, ACP and Doctors. The post holder will ensure the highest possible standards of care are received by patients and their carers whilst in the Unit.

Our community hospitals, called Intermediate Care Units, support inpatients with short-term recovery and rehabilitation. We aim to provide a service that supports patients to live independently and return home when it is safe for them to do so.
Crowborough Intermediate Care Unit provides short term rehabilitation for individuals over 18 years of age. Individuals are referred for rehabilitation following an acute worsening in their health such as infection, an acute hospital admission following illness or surgery, a fall or an adjustment of complex medication.
The role will be assisting to provide care for patients on the unit to help their recovery and rehabilitation. This will involve providing help with tasks including personal care and assisting with meals.
The candidate should be friendly and be able to communicate well with both patients and colleagues in a professional manner to support and maintain a positive attitude and outlook within the multi disciplinary team.
