A healthcare provider in Flitwick is seeking an experienced phlebotomist or healthcare assistant for a part-time role, working 2 days per week. Responsibilities include performing phlebotomy, administering vaccines, and supporting patient health management. Training can be provided for eligible candidates. The position is based in a busy surgery that serves a diverse practice population.
Flitwick Surgery is a busy practice looking for a reliable, experienced phlebotomist or healthcare assistant to join our nursing team on a part‑time, permanent basis for 2 days per week (most likely a Monday and a Friday, but this is subject to change). The successful candidate will be able to work in a fast‑moving environment and enjoy regular patient contact.
The successful applicant will be able to deliver excellent patient care, positively representing the practice and strengthening the relationship between patients and the surgery. We would be willing to support eligible candidates with training if they did not have the required skill set for this role. Flitwick is a busy surgery serving a practice population of 14,250 patients. Run as a partnership, the clinical team consists of GPs, ANPs/minor illness nurses, a paramedic, pharmacists, practice nurses, and HCAs. We are also a training practice for GPs and take part in medical research. We are part of the PCN Green Vale Health. As a commuter town in rural Bedfordshire, the practice population is diverse, seeing patients of all life stages. We have good links to the A6, M1 and parking for staff.
