Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced, motivated, hardworking, caring and compassionate Healthcare Support Worker to join Bradford Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. The role requires a 24/7 service and involves working a combination of days, nights, weekends and Bank Holidays.

Closing date: 16th November 2025. Shortlisting: 17th November 2025. Interview: Week commencing 24th November 2025.

Responsibilities

Provide direct patient care under the direction of a Registered Nurse. Support Registered Nurse, Nursing Associates and multi‑disciplinary teams in your ward or department and across the Trust.

Work Pattern & Hours

Full‑time: 37.50 hours per week.
Part‑time: 23.50 – 30.00 hours per week (minimum 23.50 hours).

Shift Pattern
  • Early Shift: 7:00‑15:00 / 7:30‑15:30
  • Long Day: 7:00‑19:30 / 07:30‑20:00
  • Late Shift: 12:00–20:00
  • Night Shift: 19:30–8:00
Additional Information

The Healthcare Support Worker Bootcamp will take place over 2 weeks – Monday to Friday 8:00‑16:30. After completing Bootcamp you will join your allocated ward or department.

Bradford Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is unable to provide sponsorship for this role.

Due to the shift pattern, the role is NOT suitable for full‑time higher education students (e.g., A‑Levels, college, university).
