Job summary

Locum Ready is seeking an experienced Healthcare Assistant to join flexible treatment room sessions across primary care services in Kirkby. You will provide hands-on clinical support to nursing and clinical teams, carrying out routine observations and assisting with treatment room procedures in GP clinic environments.

The role offers fully flexible weekday, evening or weekend sessions with ad-hoc or regular work options.

Qualifications

• Previous HCA experience in primary care or NHS settings.
• Able to perform routine clinical observations.
• Enhanced DBS clearance.

Responsibilities

• Carrying out routine clinical observations including BP, pulse and temperature.
• Supporting treatment room procedures such as wound care and dressings.
• Performing ECGs and basic health checks.
• Assisting with phlebotomy if trained.
• Updating digital patient records in line with service protocols.
• Supporting clinicians with general duties where needed.
• Maintaining a clean and safe clinical environment.
