Job summary

Locums First is seeking Locum Healthcare Assistants in Ivybridge. This flexible role supports local primary care services with varied sessions, ideal for HCAs who are confident delivering routine clinical tasks and providing patient-facing care.

You will perform routine observations, assist in treatment room duties, conduct ECGs and basic health checks, and support clinics with accurate documentation. DBS check is required and shifts can be arranged weekdays, evenings or weekends.

Qualifications

• Experience as HCA in primary care, community, or NHS settings.
• Phlebotomy skills desirable.
• Confident in performing clinical observations.
• Enhanced DBS clearance.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine patient observations such as BP, pulse and temperature.
• Support treatment room procedures under clinical supervision.
