Job summary

Locums First is seeking Locum Healthcare Assistants in Frodsham to provide flexible sessional support across community clinics, GP surgeries and wider primary care services.

In this role you will assist with patient assessments, carry out routine clinical procedures, ECGs and phlebotomy if trained, and maintain an efficient clinic environment.

Locums First offers flexible weekday, evening or weekend shifts with ad-hoc or regular bookings, tailored to your availability.

Qualifications

• Experience as a healthcare assistant in primary care, community or NHS settings.
• Phlebotomy skills are beneficial.
• Excellent communication and time-management abilities.
• Comfortable adapting to new clinical environments.

Responsibilities

• Conducting basic patient observations (BP, pulse, temperature).
• Supporting routine treatment room procedures.
• Carrying out ECGs and basic health checks.
• Performing phlebotomy if trained.
• Assisting with patient education and lifestyle advice.
• Updating clinical notes accurately in service systems.
• Providing general clinical support to nurses and GPs.
