Job summary

Locum Ready is seeking a Locum HCA to support a GP practice in Knutsford. You will assist with routine clinical duties, patient assessments and day-to-day treatment room activity within an organised primary care environment.

The role requires prior HCA experience in primary care or NHS settings, with possible phlebotomy duties, and DBS clearance. Ad-hoc or regular weekly sessions are available, mornings and afternoons.

Qualifications

• Prior HCA experience in primary care or the NHS.
• Phlebotomy experience desirable.
• Comfortable carrying out clinical observations.
• Basic IT competence for clinical system documentation.
• Enhanced DBS clearance is required.

Responsibilities

• Performing observations including BP, pulse, temperature and oxygen saturation.
• Supporting with treatment room procedures.
• Phlebotomy and sample handling (if trained).
• Completing ECGs and assisting with routine patient assessments.
• Providing lifestyle advice and supporting health promotion.
• Updating patient records accurately in the clinical system.
• Assisting clinicians with general tasks as required.
