A healthcare provider in Redditch is looking for a motivated healthcare assistant to support patient care and clinic operations. The role involves conducting various treatment room duties and health screenings while ensuring compliance with health standards. Ideal candidates will have an NVQ in healthcare and excellent communication skills. The position offers part-time hours at £13.23 per hour.
We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic healthcare assistant with a proven clinical background to join our large, busy practice. The successful candidate will have the ability and personal drive to run clinics autonomously alongside Primary Care colleagues. You will possess excellent communication skills, a passion for patient care and the ability to adapt in order to respond to the challenging demands of primary care.
We are a large, well organised GMS practice with an increasing list size of just over 17,500. We are a training practice VTS and medical students, host Practice for Primary Care Research Network in Redditch, and have an excellent Chronic disease management recall system. We have a high QoF and a large supporting team with 5 nurses, 2 HCAs and a Phlebotomist, as well as a well coordinated admin team. We use Emis Web and Docman (including EZ Doc), EPS, and on-site pharmacy. A good sense of humour is essential.

Job responsibilities
The post holder is responsible for the delivery of basic practice healthcare assistant services to the practice population. Supported by senior nurses within the practice, they will deliver care within the boundaries of their role, focusing upon supporting patients to be healthy, monitoring of long-term conditions, health prevention and screening activities. They will work collaboratively with the general practice team to meet the needs of patients, supporting the delivery of policy and procedures, and providing nurse leadership as required.
