Job summary

Practice Plus Group is recruiting a Healthcare Assistant to join the Primary Care team at HMP Wakefield. The role involves delivering care in a correctional health setting, with 37.5 hours per week and a mix of day and night shifts.

You will support the nursing team, facilitate clinics including bloods and ECGs, and assist with triaging new patients within a secure environment. Training and development opportunities are available.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Health and Social Care required.
• Phlebotomy experience highly desirable.
• Experience in clinical care settings, hospital or prison preferred.
• Venepuncture and ECG experience beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Deliver compassionate care to patients in healthcare and wings.
• Facilitate clinics including bloods, observations, ECGs, NHS Health checks.
• Support the nursing team with all aspects of care.
• Assist with triaging new patients and admissions.
