Healthcare Assistant - Bishops Castle Community Hospital

Bishops Castle Community Hospital is looking to recruit an enthusiastic and motivated Healthcare Assistant to join our team.

The ward is busy and you will need to be able to work under pressure at times. You will work within the established nursing team on the ward alongside Registered Nurses, Healthcare Support Workers and therapy staff providing care to patients on the ward.

Main duties of the job
  • A Healthcare Assistant is a core member of the team delivering personal care to patients and supporting registered practitioners to deliver high quality, compassionate care.
  • To provide holistic and person-centred care and support community patients in an acute setting.
  • To carry out a range of non-clinical healthcare tasks, under the direct supervision of the registered healthcare practitioner. Provide compassionate care, to agreed quality standards and in accordance with Trust values.

Training and Qualifications
  • Ability to demonstrate a level of English language and grammar commensurate with writing in service user case notes.

  • Awareness of accountability issues e.g., confidentiality.
