Job summary

Birmingham and Solihull Mental Health NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Health Care Assistant Apprentice at Reaside Clinic and The Tamarind Centre in Birmingham. The role offers practical training alongside working within a multidisciplinary team to deliver safe, compassionate care while undertaking a Level 2 Adult Care qualification.

The position is full-time (37.5 hours per week) with a salary of £15,600 per annum, pro rata, and a 12-month Training Contract. Applications close 19/11/2026.

Qualifications

• GCSE Maths and English at a grade 4-9 (age 18+).
• Willingness to learn and complete Level 2 in Adult Care.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality, compassionate, person-centred care under supervision.
• Assist with activities of daily living and engage in therapeutic/recovery activities.
• Observe changes in health and report to supervising staff.
