Health Care Assistant – Salvington Lodge Intermediate Care Unit

We are looking for a dynamic Health Care Assistant to support our team in delivering rehabilitation and care at Salvington Lodge Intermediate care Unit. Applicants must have the right to work in the UK; visa sponsorship is unlikely due to recent changes in UK immigration and visa rules.

Role Overview

Work flexibly to cover long days, some short days, and nights. As a member of the team, you will ensure effective and safe delivery of care to patients under the guidance, instruction, and supervision of nurses, ACP and Doctors. You will help maintain the highest possible standards of care for patients and their carers.

Responsibilities
  • Assist in providing care for patients on the unit to help their recovery and rehabilitation.
  • Provide personal care and assist with meals.
  • Support patients with tasks to facilitate rehabilitation following acute worsening in their health, such as postoperative recovery, infection, falls, or medication adjustments.
  • Communicate well with patients and colleagues in a professional manner to maintain a positive attitude and outlook within the multidisciplinary team.
  • Work with the team to ensure safe and effective care delivery under supervision.

About Salvington Lodge

Salvington Lodge provides short‑term rehabilitation for individuals over 18 years of age. It supports patients to live independently and return home when safe to do so. The unit receives referrals after an acute worsening such as infection, acute hospital admission, surgery, falls, or medication changes.
