Job summary

A healthcare service provider in the UK is seeking a Healthcare Assistant to support a female service user with complex needs including Cerebral Palsy and Epilepsy. The role involves providing personal care, performing clinical tasks, and supporting daily routines. Applicants must have at least 6 months of experience in care, a driver's license, and be willing to obtain an Enhanced DBS. Flexible shifts are available, with night and occasional weekend hours.

Qualifications

Job Title: Healthcare Assistant

Location: LU1

Rate of Pay: £14/h

Shifts: 2/3 shifts per week

Hours: 9.30PM - 6.30AM; Nights / Occasional Weekends

Contract Type: Full time / Part time

Specialism: Complex Care: 2:1 ; Suctioning; Tracheotomy; Brain injury; Epilepsy; Peg Feeding

About the Role

You'll be working with a female service user who has complex needs, including Cerebral Palsy, Brain Injury, Epilepsy, and requires Suctioning and PEG feeding. Your support will be crucial for her daily life and well‑being.

We're looking for someone outgoing, encouraging, patient, and empathetic. Our service user loves going to the cinema and theatre and enjoys having books read to her. You'll need to be happy to encourage her to get out and explore!

Key responsibilities may include:
  • Clinical Task - e.g., Suctioning, Tracheotomy; Brain injury; Epilepsy; Peg Feeding; Cerebral Palsy
  • Personal and pressure area care
  • Supporting daily routines and emotional wellbeing

You’ll receive full training and undertake shadow shifts to ensure you feel confident and well prepared.

Key Requirements
  • Driver status - e.g., Must be a driver / Access to vehicle
  • Minimum 6 months of professional care experience
  • Right to work in the UK
  • Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain one)
  • Up‑to‑date CV with full work history
