Job Summary

Assist medical/diagnostic personnel in the care of patients to include treatment, preventative care and patient education and MRI and X‑Ray assistance, ECGs, 24‑hour ambulatory blood pressure monitoring, endoscopy assistance, measuring and recording blood pressure and pulse, height/weight/Body Mass Index measuring and recording, chaperoning and assisting patients who are being examined by a clinician when required, provide nursing treatments to patients in participation with consulting clinicians or independently to agreed protocol, assisting with minor out‑patient surgical procedures, assist consultant radiologist with US and CT‑guided therapeutic joint injection, assist in shockwave therapy treatment, assist trained professionals with health screening programmes, assist with the training of junior staff.

Main duties of the job

The Health Care Assistant will work under the direct supervision of the clinical lead and undertake tasks and duties delegated by the operational lead or clinical lead. He/she will work collaboratively with the diagnostics multi‑disciplinary team to maintain a high standard of care under the direction of the operational manager, following the company's policies and procedures at all times.
