Castleholme Lodge in Huddersfield, part of Elysium Healthcare, is hiring a Healthcare Assistant to support adults with severe and enduring mental health difficulties. You will work as part of an inclusive team, providing compassionate care, assisting with daily activities and recording observations.

What you will be doing

You will join an inclusive and supportive team that works well together to provide care to adults with severe and enduring mental health difficulties , using your knowledge and skills to help people along their recover pathway towards leading a valued and fulfilled life.

Your day-to-day will include ward rounds, analysing behaviours and adapting care accordingly with colleagues, updating patient records, and providing overall care and support, which may include assisting with personal hygiene.

It can be quite a challenging environment at times, so a positive attitude, compassion, resilience and vigilance are important. But it is hugely rewarding to see people improve because of your involvement, knowing that you’ve made someone’s life better.

Castleholme Lodge is situated in Huddersfield with excellent transport links to the surrounding areas.

Castleholme Lodge is a mixed Gender 20 bed Care Home with nursing, providing a range of mental health services for adults with severe and enduring mental health difficulties. It is part of a cluster of Elysium Healthcare services across the Yorkshire and Midlands region that work closely together in support of each other.
