A leading healthcare provider in Leyland is seeking a Healthcare Assistant to join their team at HMP Wymott. The role includes ensuring continuity of care for patients, performing clinical tasks like blood collection and ECGs, and responding to emergencies. Candidates should have a NVQ Level 2/3 in Health & Social Care and clinical experience. About The Role
We have a fantastic opportunity for a Healthcare Assistant to join the team at HMP Wymott, a Category C male prison located in Leyland. HMP Wymott has capacity of around 1,100, and has a varied and complex population.
This is a fantastic opportunity to join the team, and work in a varied environment, where you will gain experience across primary care, including emergency response, working on the wings, clinics, health promotion, and more! No 2 days are the same in this challenging, yet rewarding and supportive environment.
Please note that this is a clinical role, and we need candidates that are competent in skills such as Venepuncture, ECGs, NEWS2 etc.
Hours:
This is a full time role, working 37.5 hours per week. Shifts are between 07:30 - 18:00, with alternating weekends.
You will work 07:30 - 18:00 3 shifts per week, and 07:30 - 15:30 one shift per week.
Salary:
This position is full time , you’ll receive an annual salary of £25,557 - £29,723 per annum - depending on experience.
Candidates are required to have a Legal right to work in the UK and due to the nature of the role, offers of employment will be subject to additional vetting and security checks.
