Job description

We're looking for a caring and motivated Healthcare Assistant to support our clinical team in delivering high‑quality, patient‑focused care within our Treatment Centre. Working under the supervision of Nurse Practitioners, you'll play a key role in assisting with day‑to‑day clinical activities, supporting patient flow, and helping maintain a safe, welcoming environment for all. This is a great opportunity to develop your clinical skills and contribute meaningfully to patient wellbeing. 3 x 7.5 hr shifts over 7 day week – fair share of weekends (1 in 3) and evenings. Early shift 0730‑1530, late shift 1400‑2200. Everything we do is focused on providing a high standard of safe and effective patient care. When you're part of the Practice Plus Group team, you don't just have a job. You have a career. We work with you to help you grow in your role and take your career in the direction you want to go. If you want to move up the ladder, we’ll support you. If you just want to stay in your role, that’s fine too. We’ll help you be the best you can be.

What you'll be doing
  • Assisting registered nursing staff with a range of patient care tasks
  • Supporting Review Clinics, Fracture Clinics and Plaster Technicians
  • Providing patient information, advice and excellent customer care
  • Demonstrating and measuring walking aids
  • Assisting patients with dressing and undressing
  • Working alongside Nurse Practitioners in See & Treat
  • Completing all required annual mandatory training
  • Upholding safety, infection control and data protection standards at all times

Having already achieved your NVQ level 2, there will be plenty of further learning opportunities including internal and external training modules. It would be an advantage if you have worked in an acute healthcare environment. More important though is your flexibility, your knowledge of infection control, belief in teamwork and your ability to use your initiative, follow instructions and prioritise a busy workload.
