Job description
Healthcare Assistant Community Night Nursing

We are looking for a caring and reliable Community Healthcare Assistant (HCA) / Care Assistant / Support Worker to join our Community Night Nursing Team. This is a rewarding role supporting patients in their homes, working closely with qualified nurses to provide both personal and clinical care.

You will also use a company vehicle to travel between visits, ensuring safe and efficient transport across Hampshire.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver personal care with dignity and compassion
  • Support nurses with wound care, palliative care and care after death
  • Take and record patient observations (blood pressure, pulse, SpO2, temperature, respirations, blood glucose)
  • Assist with documentation and digital record keeping
  • Drive safely to patient visits across Hampshire (vehicle provided)
  • Keep equipment stocked and vehicle service-ready
  • Support with non-clinical tasks, such as transporting supplies
What Were Looking For
  • Experience as a Healthcare Assistant, Care Assistant, Support Worker or similar role (community experience desirable)
  • Full UK clean driving licence
  • Basic clinical skills and confidence with personal care
  • Physically fit for manual handling tasks
  • A positive, compassionate and reliable approach to patient care
Desirable Skills
  • Palliative care experience
  • Familiarity with digital care record systems
