Job summary

A healthcare assistant role at Allscreens Nationwide Ltd supports GP practices by conducting new patient checks, NHS health checks, annual reviews, and basic observations including ECGs. The post contributes to safe patient care in a NHS-related setting.

You will assist with injections, restock equipment, support minor surgical procedures, chaperone patients, and handle laboratory samples and vaccine storage. It also covers stock rotation and data collection for health needs.

Responsibilities

• New patient health checks and NHS Health Checks.
• Annual health checks (e.g., long-term condition reviews).
• Take basic observations (height, weight, blood pressure, temperature).
• Perform ECGs and injections (e.g., B12).
• Restock, order and maintain clinical equipment.
• Assist with minor surgical procedures.
• Chaperone patients during examinations.
• Process and manage laboratory samples requested by GPs/nurses.
• Manage vaccine/cold chain storage, monitoring and recording.
• Restock surgical equipment and rotate stock.
• Prepare and maintain environments and equipment for patient care interventions.
• Assist in assessment and surveillance of patients' health and well-being.
• Raise awareness of health and well-being and promote it.
• Assist with data collection related to health needs.
