About the role

An opportunity has arisen for a Band 3 Healthcare Assistant to work within the Horizon Day Services at Highbury Hospital, Bulwell, Nottingham.

The role will require an individual with the ability to work effectively under the direction and leadership from a registered professional in the provision of care to a specific patient group within the directorate.

Responsibilities
  • Assisting with all the activates of daily living, addressing the physical and mental health care needs of patients – promoting individual health and wellbeing.
  • Undertake, record and report clinical observations as directed by the registered professional.
  • Assist in the activities for the patient within the environment which involve accompanying/escorting patients outside the ward environment.
  • Maintain accurate timely and relevant clinical records both written and computerised; maintain the safe custody of healthcare records.
  • Treat the patients as individuals and enable them to achieve maximum independence.
  • Undertake any other duties that would be a reasonable expectation of the role.
Requirements
  • A full UK driving licence and vehicle for business use is required for this post; however reasonable adjustments will be made for disabled individuals in line with the Equality Act 2010.
