Brighton & Hove Clinic in Hove, part of Elysium Healthcare, is inviting experienced Healthcare Assistants to join our team delivering compassionate care to young people with eating disorders.

You will participate in ward rounds, monitor behaviours, update patient records, and support daily living activities, including personal hygiene, within a welcoming, supportive environment that values kindness and teamwork.

What You Will Be Doing

You will join an inclusive and supportive team that works well together to provide care to people with Eating Disorders conditions, using your knowledge and skills to help people along their recover pathway towards leading a valued and fulfilled life.

Your day-to-day will include ward rounds, analysing behaviours and adapting care accordingly with colleagues, updating patient records, and providing overall care and support, which may include assisting with personal hygiene.

It can be quite a challenging environment at times, so a positive attitude, compassion, resilience and vigilance are important. But it is hugely rewarding to see people improve because of your involvement, knowing that you’ve made someone’s life better.

We offer both full-time and part-time opportunities, alongside comprehensive on-the-job training and development to help you succeed in your role from the moment you join us.

The shift pattern is 3-4 days a week including weekends. 7:30am to 8pm day shift and 7:30pm to 8am night shift. 37.5 hours per week. The shift pattern consists of two weeks of day shifts followed by two weeks of night shifts, with additional night-only opportunities available all on rotation.

Brighton & Hove Clinic provides a Children and Young People's Mental Health Service (CYPMHS) Tier 4 Eating Disorder service for young people aged 12 up to 18 years with a primary diagnosis of eating disorder; or an eating difficulty with a co-morbid presentation for example mental health or psychological issues, such as depression, OCD or anxiety or self-harm.

We are conveniently located on New Church Road in Hove, with excellent public transport links and easy access from Brighton and surrounding areas. While on-site parking is limited, parking permits are available on a rota basis for colleagues who drive
