About the role:
This is an exciting opportunity for you to join our growing team as a Senior Associate focussed on health analytics and modelling.
We work closely with a broad range of major NHS and other clients -developing and delivering a range of analytical and modelling solutions to NHS Providers, Commissioners, Systems, Regional and National teams.
Our work is varied and always evolving - from supporting high profile financial and performance turnaround projects to developing long term demand and capacity projections underpinning capital projects; from in-depth patient-level activity and clinical coding analysis to modelling population and system level scenarios and risks.
What your days will look like:
- You’ll work with a range of NHS and other clients to develop and review predictive and prescriptive analyses and models to support key financial strategy and operational decisions.
- You’ll have the opportunity to collaborate in multidisciplinary teams, combining our analytical and modelling skills with operational, financial and governance skills to deliver a wide range of work and enhance your skills and experience.
- You’ll need to be agile, readily adapting to new areas and new tools including AI, navigating uncertainty and tight timelines to deliver pragmatic, robust analysis and well-evidenced, valuable insights.
- You’ll interact closely with our clients, taking an active role understanding their varied challenges, planning work and sharing progress, tackling issues together and bringing key findings to life.
- As a team, we offer continuous learning opportunities, both on the job and through formal training. We really value learning from each other, encouraging everyone to share knowledge through coaching, delivering talks and peer reviewing work.
This role is for you if:
- You're an analyst working directly in the NHS or delivering NHS projects in consultancy, with experience working on projects across the analytical lifecycle - including problem scoping, sourcing and setting assumptions, data transformation, design and delivery of well-documented analysis, and clear communication of key findings and uncertainties.
- You have supported NHS organisations, particularly in the acute provider sector, in tackling operational, financial, clinical or strategic challenges through the development and review of analyses, models and dashboards built on common NHS activity, finance and performance datasets.
- You are adept at understanding, simplifying and resolving complex issues, quickly developing pragmatic analytical and modelling approaches, building confidence and rapport with key stakeholders.
- You have strong core technical skills including experience handling large, complex data sets in Alteryx, VBA, SQL, Python or R, together with Business Intelligence visualisation (e.g. Tableau, Qlik or Power BI) and robust Excel skills.
- You've got excellent, engaging communication skills, comfortable with communicating complex technical matters effectively to less technical audiences both in person and in writing.
What you’ll receive from us:
No matter where you may be in your career or personal life, our benefits are designed to add value and support, recognising and rewarding you fairly for your contributions.
We offer a range of benefits including empowered flexibility and a working week split between office, home and client site; private medical cover and 24/7 access to a qualified virtual GP; six volunteering days a year and much more.
