A local sports organization is looking for a Health & Wellbeing Project Officer to work on mental health initiatives. Saints Foundation is the charity of Southampton Football Club. We support people in need throughout Southampton, providing life-changing opportunities to help our communities thrive.
This role will involve working across our Mental Health area of work, delivering on both Saints By Your Side and Talking Tactics projects. You will be part of a dedicated delivery team that will involve both group and 1-2-1 mentoring support sessions alongside creating resources and engaging session plans.
As Health & Wellbeing Project Officer you will fulfil the role of mentor and programme support across our Talking Tactics programme, working with those impacted by the complex needs of youth mental health, including delivering 121 sessions as part of the project.
You will support the project coordinator in the development of targeted behaviour change interventions that will inspire and encourage participants to develop good impactful lifestyle changes that will address health inequalities in the city.
Working closely with the project team you will develop high-quality resources to assist our individual and group interventions as well as co-delivering the Saints By Your Side men's mental health group sessions. Additionally, you will manage and develop an ongoing exit programme and continued open access support sessions.
You will work with the marketing team to develop a creative communications plan to engage the Saints fanbase and existing participants across Health programmes to target adults and young people who are living with (or are at risk of living with) life impacting health conditions.
You have a good understanding of the impact and scale of mental health issues within Southampton and experience of creating good quality resources to support the delivery of 121 or group mentoring sessions.
