Job summary

London Borough of Newham is recruiting a Community Nursery Nurse to join the 0-19 health service. The role supports the Healthy Child Programme for children aged 0-5, delivering essential observation and health promotion within homes, centres and schools.

You will work in a multidisciplinary team to safeguard children, conduct ASQ reviews and assist health visitors in advisory clinics, contributing to early help and integrated services in a diverse borough.

Qualifications

• Must hold NNEB/NVQ Level 3 in childcare and education.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Good organisation and planning abilities.

Responsibilities

• Deliver the refreshed Health Visiting model and Healthy Child Programme for 0-5 years in partnership with multi-professionals.
• Observe children and families in homes, nurseries, health centres and schools.
• Lead health promotion activities in a diverse community and identify local needs.
• Carry out mandated Healthy Child Programme assessments and support safeguarding.
• Collaborate with nursery nurses to strengthen the integrated 0-19 delivery model.
